Meeting with WAR - "Women Against Rape"

Monday, March 2nd Noon—

Today, we had lunch at Hillary’s open air cafe in Maun, Botswana with Mpho Mahopolo who is the Director of Women Against Rape. I met Mpho at the Women’s Conference at All Nations Village Church on Saturday. She was a panelist at the conference about mothers and daughters and she is also originally from Lesotho. Her 82 year-old mother is known around these parts for starting a chaplaincy program in all of the hospitals in Lesotho and some in Botswana and for feeding and caring for the poor. We will be meeting Mpho’s twin sister in Maseru, Lesotho and hopefully talking with her mother by phone who lives in a remote village which is several hours journey and is not able to travel to meet with us. Mpho’s sister is a part of a group of women in ministry in Maseru, Lesotho’s capital. We will just ‘happen’ to be there when the have a meeting together already scheduled and we have been invited to attend their meeting! I am so excited about the connections God is giving us as we journey. But of course, He would move Heaven and Earth for us to find the purpose for our visit, since He gave me such a vivid dream where He spelled out the name of a country to me. Why should I doubt that He would have been orchestrating this trip long before I realized His plan? Something inside me wonders if this meeting with these women and the discussion with Mpho’s mother will give me a clue about the woman in my dream.

Lord, thank-you for continuing to lead and guide our steps as Your plan unfolds for Lesotho! Amen.
